E C Lyons Roulette Curved Stipple No9 – 45DPI is a coarse grain roulette wheel, with a curved shaft that etches dots. The gauge has 45 dots per inch (DPI), which produces coarse dots.
This roulette wheel has a 6mm diameter drum that is 4.5mm wide.
The dot roulette wheel is used in intaglio printmaking to create areas of tonality on your metal place. This is achieved by carefully rolling the tool in different directions over your zinc or copper plate, layering dots to create areas that will hold ink.
